Terms of service
Draft for early access. This page hasn't yet been reviewed by a solicitor. It describes what Vocial actually does today.
The agreement between you and Automation Bureau for using Vocial.
Who you're agreeing with
Vocial is a product of Automation Bureau, registered in England and Wales, company number 17479795, of 17 Navigation Road, B38 9EF. "We" and "us" mean that company.
1. Early access
Vocial is in early access. We're improving it every week, and while we are, the server may be switched off when no one's using it; it's back within a minute or two. We'll tell you before anything that affects your plan changes.
2. Plans and credits
- Starter: free. 5 videos a month.
- Creator: £19 a month. 40 videos a month and 100 credits a month.
- Studio: £49 a month. 150 videos a month and 300 credits a month.
- Extra credits: £10 for 100. They don't expire.
Credits pay for extras that cost us per use (talking from a photo, AI motion, AI photos of you). Each month a paid plan is topped back up to its allowance. Anything that fails gives its credits back automatically.
Automation Bureau isn't currently VAT-registered, so no VAT is charged. If that changes we'll tell you before it affects a payment.
3. Paying and stopping
Plans renew monthly until you cancel. No minimum term, no notice period, no cancellation fee. Cancel from You → Billing, invoices and cancelling. You keep your plan until the end of the month you've paid for, then your account moves to Free. Nothing is deleted, and credits you have stay. See refunds and cancelling.
4. Your content is yours
You own what you upload and the videos and posts Vocial makes for you. You let us store and process it only to provide Vocial to you. We don't use it for anything else, and we don't put your uploads or videos in the shared library.
The shared library footage is ours, and you may use it inside videos you make with Vocial, including for your business ads.
5. What you're responsible for
- Only clone yourself. A clone must be of the person who gives consent on the consent step. Never upload someone else's face or voice to clone them.
- Having the right to everything you upload, including permission from anyone who appears in your photos or videos.
- Checking each video before you post it. Vocial writes and edits automatically and can get things wrong, so the claims, prices and details in your ads are yours to confirm, and your ads must follow advertising rules (in the UK, the ASA's).
- Not using Vocial to mislead people, impersonate anyone, or make anything unlawful, hateful or sexual.
- Keeping your password to yourself.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why.
6. What we're responsible for
Keeping Vocial running, secure and backed up, keeping your account separate from everyone else's, and fixing what we built. A bug of ours is ours to fix, free.
7. Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that can't lawfully be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Otherwise our total liability in any twelve months is limited to what you paid us in that period, and we're not liable for indirect loss or lost profits.
8. Changes
We'll email you at least 30 days before a change that affects you. If you don't accept it, cancel before it takes effect.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction.
